How are Aluminium PCBs made?
The molding method of Aluminum base board is the same as that of ordinary pcb fiberglass board. There are three types: computer milling, computer v-cutting and die punching; the processing process is basically the same!
the difference is:
1. The hardness of the milling cutter used in the fiberglass gong board is relatively small, while the milling cutter used in the Aluminum base board is harder! During the processing, the speed of the milling cutter for the production of fiberglass board is fast, while the production of Aluminum base board is at least two-thirds slower;
2. The computer milled fiberglass PCB can only use the heat dissipation system of the machine itself to dissipate heat, but the aluminum base board must be processed by adding alcohol to the gong to dissipate heat;
3. Computerized v-cutting production, the two are basically the same, except that the aluminum base board needs to cut off the peaks remaining on both sides of the v-cut line after cutting; this method is used in Quick-turn Aluminum PCB fabrication.
4. Punch production, the two are basically the same. The difference is that the cheap custom pcb fabrication aluminum substrate mold is limited by the relatively flexible aluminum material. The Aluminum LED board is less than 1.5mm, and the hole larger than 4.5mm cannot be punched out by the mold!
