Hi what gauge cables should i use and what kind off a breaker for the 40 amp…..40 or 50

Answer:

We recommend installing the Pulsar Plus 40 on a dedicated 50 Amp circuit breaker. We recommend a wire size range of 10 to 6 AWG (6mm² to 16mm²).

 

Question:

On the website, it states "power sharing for multiple evs" ... but this product seems to only have one charging cable. how is this accomplished?

Answer:

You will need a minimum of two chargers to use the Power Sharing feature.

The purpose is to share the available power of the system among several charging stations.

The chargers communicate through a cabling system in the form of a daisy chain.

Power Sharing gives you the ability to add up to 25 chargers. 

 

Question:

Is it possible to get oocp compliance via over the air update?

Answer:

The Pulsar Plus does not have nor will it have OOCP compliance. Tom Monoughny's review contain some incorrect information. I had asked this of Wallbox and was given the information I have passed along to you.

 

Question:

I have a nissan leaf with 6.6kw acceptance. do i have to set the wallbox at 28amps to match that or can i keep it set up at 40?

Answer:

You can keep it set up at 40A, as the Nissan Leaf on-board charger is not going to pull or receive more than it can handle it.

The higher capacity will not damage the car, as the car control system will only accept from the charger up to the maximum current rate it can accept (28A).
