Description:
The product adopts two types of principle of electro-magnetic induction and eddy current effect. The electro-magnetic induction principle is used to measure thickness of non-magnetic coating and galvanization layer(such as paint) on magnetic conductive metal substrate(such as iron). The principle of eddy current effect is used to measure thickness of non conductive coating(such as paint) on non-magnetic conductive metal substrate(such as aluminum).
The instrument uses a precision integrated probe, the use of electromagnetic induction principle and eddy current effects, automatic detection of the substrate properties.
Application areas:
The meter is designed to measure non-destructively the thickness of coatings and paints. The material surface treatment is essential, widely used in manufacturing, metal processing industry, chemical industry, commodity inspection areas, in the laboratory, workshop and outdoors can work stability.
working principle:
Instrument uses the principle of electromagnetic induction and eddy current effect. It has F probe and N probe.
The F probe operates on the principle of magnetic induction to detect the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on iron / steel substrates such as chrome / copper / zinc / varnish / rubber.
N Probes operate on the principle of eddy currents and are used to measure the thickness of insulating coatings such as paint / anodized / ceramic on aluminum / copper / brass substrates.

"Iron" and "NF" description
"Fe" in the LCD means that the target substrate is a ferrous material such as iron / steel.
The "NF" in the LCD means that the target substrate is a non-ferrous material such as aluminum / copper.
calibration:
Calibration adjustment is to make the instrument more accurate. Factors that affect the accuracy of the probe slightly worn, not used for a long time, harsh environments or special substrate. How to calibrate the instrument, the steps are as follows:
First remove two substrates (iron substrate / aluminum substrate) and five standard foils (50um / 100um / 250um / 500um / 1000um). Place them horizontally on the table. You can also use your target bare metal substrate instead of the one we attached.
Note: The meter only supports a total of 6 points (0/50/100/250/500/1000 μm) calibration. Other points (such as 750um) are not allowed. Please pay
attention to this point. Once you have misoperated, press and hold "um / mil" for 3 seconds to reset the factory default settings. More details can refer to the manual.
