4-way reversing valve is a component to switch the system between cooling and heating modes. By switching the flow of refrigerant, the air conditioner can incorporate the functions of cooling in summer and heating in winter together. The 4-way reversing valve consists of main valve, pilot valve, and solenoid coil. The valve is a part of the refrigerant circuit of compressor, condenser, indoor heat exchanger and other components. The pilot valve controls the main valve through pressure difference to change the direction of refrigerant flow and further switch between heating and cooling. The changeover is reliable and flexible. It can be applied in heat pump systems like central, unitary, room air conditioner and so on.
