Physical and chemical properties of quartz glass tube

Quartz glass tube is a special industrial technology glass made of silica, which is a very good basic material. Quartz glass has a

												series of excellent physical and chemical properties, such as:

1. High temperature resistance

												The softening point temperature of quartz glass is about 1730 ℃, which can be used for a long time at 1100 ℃, and the maximum use

												temperature in a short time can reach 1450 ℃,

 2. Corrosion resistance

												In addition to hydrofluoric acid, quartz glass has almost no chemical reaction with other acids. Its acid resistance is 30 times

												of that of ceramics and 150 times of that of stainless steel, especially its chemical stability at high temperature, which is

												incomparable to any other engineering materials.
3. Good thermal stability

													The coefficient of thermal expansion of quartz glass is very small, which can withstand the drastic temperature change. When the

													quartz glass is heated to about 1100 ℃, it will not burst in the normal temperature water.

4. Good light transmittance

Quartz glass has good light transmittance in the whole spectrum from ultraviolet to infrared. The visible light transmittance is

											more than 93%, especially in the ultraviolet spectrum, the maximum transmittance is more than 80%.

5. Good electrical insulation

The resistance of quartz glass is 10000 times that of ordinary glass, which is an excellent electrical insulating material, and it

											has good electrical performance even at high temperature. Quartz glass is widely used in various fields such as electric light source, semiconductor, optical communication, military industry, metallurgy, building materials, chemistry, machinery, electric power, environmental protection, etc.

1. Quartz glass products are valuable materials, which must be handled with care and handled with great care;

												resistance. On the contrary, the use of quartz glass products at high temperature is limited;

												5. Although the quartz glass material has very high thermal stability, it can withstand sharp temperature change. But in practice, due to the difference of residual strain

												and product shape, there are some differences in thermal stability;

												6. Quartz glass is an acid material. When it

												is used at high temperature, it should strictly avoid contact with alkaline substances (such as water glass, asbestos,potassium and sodium compounds, etc.), otherwise its anti crystallization performance will be greatly reduced.
