How to know whether my doors/windows need sealing strips or not?

Getting the door sound proofed involves working not only on the door but also the frame and door jamb. A good rule to remember is if light makes it through, sound is sure to follow. Use a bright light source to examine the work for any openings where sound can penetrate.
