Use quality paper filters and pre-wet the filter before brewing to remove the paper taste. Don't use the cheap paper filters; there will be a noticeable degradation in taste.
This is a great portable dripper option. I prefer stainless steel over any plastic or rubber option and for durability. This comes with a small mesh bag which the dripper collapses into to keep it collapses and allows you to pack easily.
I took this product camping, it was great for minimal to carry, easiest cleanup coffee while camping.
